Short Course Practice Schedule (Begins on 9/20/2011)

 

National Training*:

Monday and Wednesday 4:00 to 5:00 Weight Training

Tuesday and Thursday: 5:30 am-7

Saturday: 10 am-12

*This is in addition to senior practice.  There will be an additional fee for this group.  Athletes must be willing to make 90% of all practices on time.

 

Seniors 12 & over:

Equipment Needed:  Suit, Cap, Goggles, Swim Bag with snorkel, fins, paddles (13 & up), sneakers to be worn in the pool, and gym clothes.

 

Monday – Thursday:  5:00 –5:30 Dryland/Team Meeting

                                                5:30-7:30  Training

Friday:                                   4:00 –5:00 Dryland

                                                5:00-6:00 Technique

 

Juniors 10 (approved by Coach Tom) & 11:

 Equipment Needed:  Suit, Cap, Goggles, Swim Bag with snorkel, fins, sneakers to be worn in the pool, and gym clothes.

Monday – Thursday:  5:30 – 7:30

 

 

Sophomores:

Equipment Needed:  Suit, Cap, Goggles, Fins and gym clothes.

 

Monday, Wednesday and Friday:        3:30 – 5:00

Tuesday:  3:30-4:15   Technique, 4:15-5 Dryland

 

 

Freshman:

Equipment Needed:  Suit, Cap, Goggles, and gym clothes.

 

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday:    4:00 – 5:00

 

Spring Practice Schedule

 Practice begins Monday, May 3 

Seniors: 12 and over

Monday-Friday:  3:30-5:30

Dryland

Tuesday and Thursday:  5:30-6:00

Saturday:  10-12:00

Juniors: 10 and 11*

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 3:30-5:00

Summer Swim Practice Schedule

Practice begins July 6 but there will be stroke clinics and workouts for those interested the weeks of June 21 to July 2.  Including open water swim opportunities for those competing in any of the open water swim events this summer.  Please contact Coach Tom to find out more details.

Seniors*:

Monday to Friday:  7:30-9:00 am

Juniors*:

Mon/Tues/Thur/Fr:  9:00-10:00 am

Fees are available at the front desk of the YMCA East Hampton RECenter.

*The make up of each group will be decided after the first week and a half of practice.  Who practices in each group will be dependent on many factors including but not limited to age, maturity level and ability.  For the first week of practice please adhere to the following guidelines when deciding which group to participate in.  Athletes 11 and up will participate in the Senior group.  Athletes 10 and under will participate in the Junior group.  Any athlete 10 and under with a Zone Qual time can swim the Senior group.  Decisions about group assignments will be made by the coaching staff.  If there are any questions please contact Coach Tom.
